The crest of Monarch Pass, located between Salida and Gunnison, CO, is where US Hwy. 50 crosses the Continental Divide, elevation 11,312 ft. (3,448 m). The Continental Divide is the ridge that divides the waters that travel to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The Great Blessing of Waters took place just above this sign.
