Bulgakov Handbook
Our own Fr. Eugene Tarris has been hard at work translating, from Slavonic to English, the 2nd edition of Sergei Bulgakov's famed Nastolnaya Kniga Dlya Svyaschenno-Tserkovno-Sluzhitelei (Handbook for Church Servers) published in Kharkov, Ukraine in 1900. This is a widely used resource throughout the Slavic Orthodox Churches, including the original Russian mission here in America. The work consists of material of interest to Orthodox clergy, perhaps most notably a comprehensive Hagiography (collection of life stories of saints), a valuable supplement to the Orthodox Menaia (books of hymns to saints and feasts). Since the published book is nearly 1300 pages long, Fr. Eugene's work is extensive, and therefore is only partially available. As he continues to complete these translations, they will be posted here and will be available for reference and Liturgical use.
